explosives...

playing fireworks just now really showed how my 'bad luck' is revolving around my life.. some family friends of mine bought some fireworks to play with and get into the CNY mood at the PSC beach.. those stuffs we're the normal fireworks that we used to play with last time... but were those that are used during big celebrations like during the bon odori, christmas countdown and etc... and so, all of us 'kids' ranging from 14-31... (yes.. 'kids'.. haha) tried our very first one... we, the somewhat elder ones, just stuck the thing into the sand and lit it up... as it started to light up, everyone moved a distance... so did i... BUT.. the thing backfired and so happen that part of the explosion hit right to my tight... *ouch*.. i was lucky that my jeans wasn't on fire... but the impact of that hit was really painful... the unlucky thing was that i was the ONLY one who got hit even though i was standing quite far from the others...obviously the thing needs to be launched up into the sky.. and therefore, sticking it into the sand would definitely not work.. well, we learned our lessons and got a brick as a launcher instead.. and got an adult to put it in place for us... so we took turns lighting the fireworks... everything went fine...and then it was my turn.. the adult and the older 'kids' help place it properly.. and so i lighted the thing and ran away from it.. BUT the thing didn't fly up but just exploded on the spot.. and parts of it only hit me AGAIN... it seems that i 'happen' to get the one that had some 'manufacturing problems'... hah! 'lucky' eh? i was so 'lucky that one of them even asked me to give him 4 numbers so that he can go buy 'mah piau' when he goes back to Singapore.. cis.. after those 2 incidents, i just stood there the whole time, watching thie rest of them play at a distance... haha... 'fun'..

anyway, nianz was back for CNY! yay! both jannc and i went to her house on the night she was back just to catch up on a months' happenings.. talked for about 2 hours.. but had to stop as it was getting late... haha..
glad to hear that she might be coming back to study in penang... =D but by then, i think i'll be at camp already... *sigh*
oh well, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR everyone!!
