the day after this year

BOO!!

holidays or more like visiting relatives back in Sabah for a week was okay.. :) everything's kinda different for this visit since the last one 2 years back... i just realized time has passed so SO fast.. the older generation are slowly ageing while the younger ones are growing and maturing.. i'm now taller than all my aunts and grandparents.. whereas my younger cousins are catching up with my height.. they are no longer the young lil kids n babies running around whom i love to carry and play around with as i remembered.. somehow, my grandparents house seems to look smaller from my view.. the space in the living room somehow shrink, the water container in the balcony seems to be half in size.. the rooms, even smaller.. it's as if the walls of the house shrivel in time due to the heat of the sun.. haha
guess it's just me getting bigger.. *sigh* the first thing everyone said when they saw me was "wah, why so big-sized already?" mann... must i really starve myself just to be like how i used to look like?? *sigh*

anyway, staying at grandparent's house was kinda fun.. with 7 huge dogs and a loud and greedy Mynah that has an identity problem.. it barks, yes.. barks, "woof woof woof" especially when the dogs get some bread to munch on.. it eats nearly everything.. from raw red chilies, breads and to it's own droppings.. lol and not to forget, that fella yaks a lot, literally like a tape recorder.. it screams for no reason, and imitates my grandpa like a broken tape recorder.. lol
besides that, we accompanied my grandparents relaxing at Mataking, an Island off Semporna, Sabah.. well, i couldn't dive this time though my dad was there with his students as well cos it cost a bomb.. so those 3 days were spent lazing around the island, playing cards with grandparents, eat, sleep, read, collect shells, snorkel, kayak.. etc just plain relaxing under the sun =)
well now i'm back in penang.. which means back to my boring draggy days till the year end..

so, 3 more weeks before school re-opens, and it's gonna be one heck of a year coming ahead.. 2006..
this year has been one very meaningful year for me.. it's the year when i part from my 11 years of schooling at MGS, away from my very best buddies whom has shared all my ups and downs for years, going for my national service camp which has indeed really taught me more about myself and opened my eyes in judging people, meeting new friends in MBS and also loosing touch with some on the way..

a very challenging year indeed.. but i guess that's what life is..
