first day @ work..

well, as the title states, it's my first day volunteering at Penang Adventist Hospital...
but too bad nian couldn't go with me... *sigh*.. oh well, i've got to be brave and independant somehow to go there myself.. so i did!! unlike the other volunteers, i was first assigned to decorate the president's (uncle Ted Mohr) office.. yea.. christmas decorations!! cool.. and i get to go buy stuffs from popular at midlands, across the street just for the decorations.. YAY!! but i haven't decided on what decorations should i put up yet.. so i guess i'll be spending a few more days at the Foundation Department before i try helping out at the other departments..
today was fun! i met a lot of ppl... they're all nice and willing to teach me stuff.. i managed to spend the whole morning setting up the lil 4 feet christmas tree that they kept in a box since last year.. it's nice.. though a haven't set up any christmas trees before.. yippie!! besides that, they let me do some filing, typing and faxing.. they even offered me a piece of fruit cake (not the fruitcake but a cake with fresh fruits... haha) nice!!
since it's voluntary work, i can come whenever i'm free and must help out at least 2 hours b4 leaving and up to a maximum of 8 hours a day.. i've been given a name tag which i'm supposed to wear when i'm on duty and also a vest to be worn during duty shifts.. but i've got to return the vest to the volunteer office b4 i leave... parking is free for volunteers and there's also free lunch: a plate of rice with 3 dishes of my choice and a fruit... and it's all vegetarian..
ah... at least working there helps me kill my time... for now.. that's if i'm not planning about my studies rite now... maybe i should just work till March and then continue with my NS.. (if i'm in the 2nd batch..) and after that i'll start with college?? haha... i really dun know.. now i dun even feel like learning driving which my dad is bugging me to do since the newspaper said that the driving schools will be increasing the fees for driving...
oh well... will see what happens...
till then, i guess i gotta go get more rest for tomorrow will be another interesting day!
